Des armatures ordinaires ou de pr&eacute;-compression peuvent y &ecirc;tre ajout&eacute;es en fonction de l&rsquo;&eacute;l&eacute;ment structurel faisant l&rsquo;objet de l&rsquo;intervention.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;ajout de fibres dispers&eacute;es dans une matrice &agrave; base de ciment modifie ses propri&eacute;t&eacute;s m&eacute;caniques.<\/p>\n<p><b>L&rsquo;objectif des fibres est de contrecarrer l&rsquo;ouverture progressive des fissurations en conf&eacute;rant au b&eacute;ton, apr&egrave;s la fissuration, une r&eacute;sistance r&eacute;siduelle significative &agrave; la traction (t&eacute;nacit&eacute; du b&eacute;ton FRC).<\/b><\/p>\n<p>La <b>r&eacute;sistance r&eacute;siduelle &agrave; la traction<\/b> et donc &eacute;galement l&rsquo;&eacute;nergie sp&eacute;cifique n&eacute;cessaire pour briser le conglom&eacute;rat &agrave; la traction ou pour atteindre des valeurs d&rsquo;ouverture des fissurations pr&eacute;d&eacute;termin&eacute;es, d&eacute;pend de multiples facteurs tels que :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>rapport d&rsquo;aspect de la fibre ;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>pourcentage de volume des fibres par rapport au volume total du mat&eacute;riau composite ;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>caract&eacute;ristiques physiques et m&eacute;caniques des fibres ;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>caract&eacute;ristiques physiques et m&eacute;caniques de la matrice &agrave; base de ciment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Les fibres<\/b> peuvent ainsi manifester leur contribution <b>en conf&eacute;rant au mat&eacute;riau composite une r&eacute;sistance &agrave; la post-fissuration<\/b>, absente dans la matrice sans fibres, gr&acirc;ce au <b>d&eacute;veloppement d&rsquo;une fissuration diffus&eacute;e au sein de la matrice<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Les FRC sont class&eacute;s ainsi :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>&agrave; performances normales, avec des r&eacute;sistances &agrave; la compression allant jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; C45\/55 ;<\/li>\n<li>&agrave; hautes performances, avec des r&eacute;sistances &agrave; la compression allant jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; C70\/85 ;<\/li>\n<li>&agrave; haute r&eacute;sistance, avec des r&eacute;sistances &agrave; la compression sup&eacute;rieures &agrave; C70\/85 et jusqu&rsquo;&agrave; C90\/105 ;<\/li>\n<li>dans le cas de classes de r&eacute;sistance &agrave; la compression sup&eacute;rieures au C90\/105, les performances des UHPC n&rsquo;ont pas encore &eacute;t&eacute; prises en compte dans le cadre r&egrave;glementaire actuel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Les b&eacute;tons appartenant aux classes de r&eacute;sistance susdites et caract&eacute;ris&eacute;s par une quantit&eacute; de fibres structurelles sup&eacute;rieures &agrave; 0,3% en volume peuvent &ecirc;tre class&eacute;s comme suit :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><b>FRC<\/b>&nbsp;(<i>Fiber Reinforced Concrete<\/i>)
